Scott Garton – chief operating officer
Scott brings over 20 years of utility experience to CRU Solutions. As Chief Operating Officer, Scott is responsible for the design, tendering and construction of traffic, street light and MSP initiatives. Scott holds a diploma in Electrical Engineering and Technology from Georgian College. He began his career in the utility industry at Markham Hydro as a design technician. In 1990 Scott joined Ingersoll’s Public Utilities Commission as both an Operations Manager and Project Supervisor managing hydro, water and sewage distribution, designing electrical units, including overhead, underground and street lighting as well as electrical for commercial, industrial and institutional installations. When seven local distribution companies amalgamated in 2000, Scott took on the role of Vice President of Erie Thames Services, which today has become CRU Solutions. Since coming to Ingersoll, Scott has seen CRU Solutions grow from a 12-person operation with limited capacity to the 70-person professional services firm it is today. Scott has helped CRU gain 70 traffic signal contracts for annual maintenance for clients such as Oxford County, City of Woodstock and the Town of Ingersoll. In addition, Scott also helped contract CRU’s MSP unit to more than 90 meter points. In 2007 Scott managed the two-year project of rebuilding downtown Ingersoll, which included taking the hydro underground and installing new traffic signals for both the Town of Ingersoll and Oxford County. Scott’s vision for CRU Solutions is to provide best-in-class construction, traffic and MSP services to municipalities and LDCs which are grounded in professional knowledge and industry expertise. |
